Dr. Chelese Moore

Dr. Chelese Moore, DDS is our newest dentist at Glenmont Dental in Glenmont, New York. Dr. Moore is a general dentist with a passion for improving oral health and educating patients about making informed decisions about their care. Her desire, as she joins the practice, is to employ comprehensive dental skills, in addition to organizational and communication skills to patient care.

Before joining Glenmont Dental, Dr. Moore was a staff dentist at Whitney Young Health Clinic, a federally qualified health center in Albany, New York, where she addressed the oral health needs of the community through direct patient care and education. Prior to that, Dr. Moore completed her general practice residency program at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. Here, she learned how to manage and coordinate dental care with complex medical patients and patients with developmental disabilities. Her dental school education was completed at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, #GoBlue!

Her desire to impact underserved communities in the Capital Region and abroad has been seen in her volunteer efforts on dental mission trips to the Caribbean as well as for Remote Area Medical (RAM) in the Capital Region area.

Dr. Moore believes that the source of care should first be education. Educating patients on their oral habits, concerns and meeting that need should always come first. Patients should feel informed about their care and be given compassionate care. She is committed to ensuring patient comfort and the difficult task of making patients feel less afraid and more confident in the dental chair.

Outside of work, Dr. Moore enjoys reading on her Kindle, watching documentaries with her husband and traveling to different international cities. The farthest she has ever traveled has been to Kenya which was a 16 hour flight!
